`Venicile Vyapari' rolling

Shafi-Mamootty team's `Venicile Vyapari' is rolling at Kochi. The movie tells the story of a police constable, who served the force in the eighties. Mamootty dons the role of a police constable Pavithran. Mamootty appears in that period costumes, wearing khakki trousers and tall cap. He lost his parents in his childhood. He entered police force by chance as it was not his ambition. So he resigned this job and started coir business at Alapuzha. Here he started exporting coir products. It was during this period he met a bank manager Lakshmi and both became friends. Another character is Ammu. She was the union leader of coir workers. Pavithran loved her but did not reveal his love. Poonam Bajwa plays the role of Lakshmi and Kavya as Ammu. James Albert has penned the screenplay V.P Madhavan Nair is producing the film under the banner of Murali Films. Madhavan Nair is the poducer of superhit films like Mazhayethum Mumpe, Azhakiya Ravanan, Chambakulam Thachan and Sidharth. Later he concentrated more on distribution field. Syam Dutt is the cinematographer. Kaithapram is the lyricist and music by Bijibal. Other cast includes Vijaya Raghavan, Jagathy, Salim Kumar, Suraj, Sreeraman, Kalabhhavan Shajon, Rajan Padoor and others.
