`Thiruvambadi Thampan' of Padma Kumar
Padma Kumar's new project `Thiruvambadi Thampan' tells about a father and son having craze in buying elephants. Years back, during the reign of Sakthan Thampuran of Thrissur, 60 Christian families from Travancore migrated to Thrissur to do business. Thampan family group were one among them. Thiruvambadi Mathen and his son Thamban were very crazy with elephants. Their favourite spots were temple premises. One day both father and son visited elephant festival held at Sonapur in Bihar. They bought an elephant from there and while returning on the way from Madurai a shocking incident occurred. Jayaram plays the role of Thampan and Jagathy as his father Mathen. Sneha dons the role of Anjali and Kalabhavan Mani as Marayoor Ramanujan. Nedumudi plays the role of Mathen's in law Kunjaaman. S. Suresh Babu has penned the screenplay. Alexander John is producing the film under the banner of Jini Cinema. Manoj Pillai is the cinematographer. Thrissur, Marayur, Pollachi and Bihar are the locations. Shoot will begin at Thrissur on 14 of this month.
