Swaralaya - Devarajan award for Yesudas

Yesudas has been selected for this year's Swaralaya - Devarajan Master award. The award was announced by O.N.V and former minister M.A. Baby in a press meet at Thiruvanathapuram on Monday. The award includes a cash prize of Rs 50,000, statuette and citation. He has been selected for the award for his contributions to music field as a singer and a music director. He would receive the award in December in a function `Devaraga Sandhya'. Prof. Omanakutty, music director M.Jayachandran and critic Ravi Menon were members of the jury, chaired by ONV selected Yesudas for the award.
