`Spanish Masala' of Lal Jose rolling

Lal Jose's new venture `Spanish Masala' is progressing at Ernakulam. The story revolves around a mother and son, Charlie, a mimicry artist, who reaches Spain in search of a job. Charlie was working with a mimicry troupe. But in Spain he was forced to accept the job of a chef in a restaurant. One day a Spanish woman Camila reaches restaurant and Charlie serves dosa. She liked the taste of dosa and she meets the chef. They became friends. Camila lost her mother in her childhood and she was brought up by Aayamma (foster mother). Her father has served as Spanish Ambassador in India for sometime. So Camila was familiar with Indian cuisine and even languages of South India, including Malayalam. The relationship between Charlie and Camila develops into a love affair. Dileep plays the role of Charlie and Kalaranjini as his mother. Daniela dons the role of Camila. Other cast includes Vinayaprasad, Kunchacko Boban and Biju Menon. Benny P. Nayarambalam has scripted the screen play. Under the banner of Big Screen Productions, Naushad is producing the film. The film is slated for release in December.
