Padmasree K.J Yesudas will be honoured

Cultural affairs minister of Kerala, K.C Joseph announced that Padmasree K.J. Yesudas will be honoured by the Government presenting  him the life time achievement puraskar. He will be given this award considering  completion of fifty years in the music field. ``We people are proud to have such a person in our generation. He is a person who sings and  works for the upliftment  and benefit of  the society. Actually he is to be given the privilege  of `Aasthana Gayakan' (title of palace singer). But state government has no right to honour him with such a title.'' minister  added.
