Mohanlal as Ghazal singer in `Sneham + Ishtam = Amma'

Jayachandran Ailara, who has been the associate of noted director Bharathan, is directing the movie `Sneham + Ishtam = Amma'. Shoot will begin next week at Thiruvanthapuram. The film tells the story of a mother and son. Sreedevi is a writer and lives with her only son Siddarth, who loves and enjoys ghazal songs of Razik Ubhaid. As an admirer of Razik, one day Sidharth goes to attend the ghazal programme and meets him after the programme. When they met there both did not utter a word, but there happened a silent commuunication, as they knew each other. Their meeting is becoming a turning point. After this incident both mother and son separated. Later Sreedevi was imprisoned after involving in a murder case.
Revathi dons the role of Sreedevi and Mohan Lal as Razik. Debutant Shaheen, a B Tech graduate and a model, plays the role of Sidharth. K.S. Chitra sang a lullaby after a short gap ( parting her only daughter Nandana, who drowned to death in Dubai) in this film. M.G Sreekumar has scored the music for the lyrics penned by O.N.V Kurup and Vishnu Valiakaaattil. Pappaji has scripted the story. Haja Moinu has penned the dialogue and screen play. S.B. Raman will handle the camera. J. Bharat Samuel will produce the film under the banner of Bharat Creations. Other cast includes Jagathy, Suraj, Nedumudi Venu, Kalpana, Resul Pookutty and others.
