M.G. Radha Krishnan Foundation

Cultural minister M. A. Baby inaugurated M.G. Radhakrishnan Foundation in a function at Theerthapada Mandapam at Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday.

Poet ONV Kurup delivered the commemoration speech. He said, M.G Radha Krishnan was his student and he aptly utilised his knowledge in literature for music.

Padmaja Radha Krishnan, widow of Radhakrishnan presented a gift to ONV on behalf of the foundation. Omanakutty teacher, sister of M.G. Radhakrishnan honoured ONV by adorning a ponnada.

Radha Krishnan's son M.R. Rajakrishnan announced objectives of the foundation. A music school will be opened to encourage the young talents and the best student will be given an award.

`Sangeetha Archana', a programme will be conducted on july 2, the death anniversary day of M.G. Radhakrishnan. An everolling trophy will be presented to the winner in light music in school youth festival.

A digital archive would be established and the music works of prominent musicians of Malayalam will be collected. K..S Hari Shanker, grandson of M.G performed Sangeetha Archana.

Actor Madhu, minister Kadannnapalli Ramachandran, Perumbavoor G. Ravidranath and playback singer Arundhadhi attended the function.
