Harivarasanam Award for K.J.Yesudas

K.J.Yesudas has been selected for this year's Harivarasanam award instituted by Sabarimala Devasvom Board. The award was announced by minister V.S .Siva Kumar at Sabarimala. The award includes a sum of Rs 50,000 and a citation. Kerala government is giving this award for the effort to bringing communal harmony in the society through music. Harivarasanam, the devotional song sung by Yesudas, plays every night before closing the door of sanctum sanctorum after the final pooja, composed by the renowned music director G. Devarajan..The award will be presented on coming Vishu day.
