Bhahadur Puraskar for KPAC Lalitha

Veteran actress KPAC Lalitha has been selected for Bahadur Puraskar 2010 instituted by Bahadur Memorial Trust. She was selected for the award for her comprehensive contributions to Malayalam cinema. The award includes a purse of Rs 50,000, a citation and a plaque designed by Kutty Kodungallur. She has acted in more than 500 films including Tamil. The characters in `Amaram' and `Santham' fetched her the best supporting actress award of the state Goverment.

Thilakan, Jagathy Sreekumar, Paravoor Bharathan, Jose Prakash, Madhu, Nedumudi Venu, Sreenivasan, Resul Pookuty and Sukumari are the earlier recipients of this award. The award distribution function will be held at Kodungallur police station ground on May 24 evening. Trust president Dr. P.A. Muhammed Saed, sectretary director Kamal, Muhammed Moopen, Muhammed Ali and Kutty Kodungallur attended the press meet to announce award.
